Colors of Sicily: blue
Throughout the year you can enjoy beautiful colors in Sicily, from the azure blue sea, to yellow grain fields and the multicolored volcanic soil at Mount Etna and on the island of Vulcano. On our blog we’ll let you discover Sicily through these different colors. Today’s theme is the color blue.
In the summer, many Palermitani leave the city of Palermo to enjoy the beautiful weather and the azure blue sea in Mondello.
Close to the town of Acicastello, we found these two boats in the clear blue sea:

You’ll find them in the ports of all the Sicilian coastal towns: typical blue fishing boats.
The sea water is particularly clear near the various islands off the coast of Sicily, including the islands of Favignana, Marettimo and Ustica:
